Fiduciary Oversight: The Bad, the Ugly, and the Really, Really Good

January 19, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm EST

Free – $25.00

Join us on January 19th, 2021 from 12:00-2:00 EST.  You don’t want to miss PECA’s first event of the year!

We all know that ERISA puts the burden of prudence and operating a plan for the exclusive benefit of the participants on plan fiduciaries.  Ilene Ferenczy and Alison Cohen from Ferenczy Benefits Law Center will review the key lawsuits that have been in the news (and some that are still pending) to discuss what went wrong for so many fiduciaries and their plans.  Then, Diane Gallagher from American Century Investments will share what it means to be a tried and true, gold star plan fiduciary.  After successfully defending against one such fiduciary lawsuit, Diane will share her first-hand experience on how the committee successfully defended itself by vowing to do what was right versus easy.

Two Hours of CE Credit for ASPPA and NIPA should be self-reported and certificate of attendance will be provided. ERPA credit has been approved and will be reported for attendees providing a valid PTIN upon registration. Each attendee should register and log into the webinar individually to watch and listen to the presentation to receive CE credit. Listening by phone or in a group will not qualify for CE credit.
