Politics, Policy and the Future of Retirement + Chris Gardner of The Pursuit of Happyness

October 22 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm EDT

Free – $25

PECA is bringing you another double header you won’t want to miss!

We will kick off with Politics, Policy and the Future of Retirement, led by Kent Mason and Melissa Kahn.  The discussion will encompass a look back at key legislative and regulatory developments in retirement policy over the past year. These include SECURE 2.0, CITs in 403(b) plans, new DOL guidance on investment advice, ESG and private equity investing. Kent and Melissa will also discuss how the upcoming election will affect those policies in 2021 and beyond.

Chris Gardner, who inspired the major motion picture Pursuit of Happyness, will close out with a motivational presentation on HappYness and Your Financial Future. Chris describes himself as the CEO of HappYness, a word he spells with a Y because he believes that happYness starts with you. HappYness is about taking responsibility, getting smart about the monetary issues that affect your family’s well-being, and putting your financial house in order. Chris will discuss that while in the current pandemic many individuals may feel stalled and limited, now is in fact the time to strategize and take action towards positive change.

Deadline for registration is October 16th; attendance is free to PECA members and $25 to non-members.

2 hours of CE credit are available for ASPPA and NIPA. CE should be self-reported and Certificates of Participation will be provided. We will report CE for ERPA to the IRS on your behalf if requested. Each attendee must register and log in the webinar individually to watch and listen to the presentation to receive CE credit.
