SECURE Act & COVID-19 Update
The last four months brought a whirlwind of change for employers and their retirement plans. Already grappling with the implications of the SECURE Act, we are now faced with unexpected changes to ERISA and labor laws passed just a few weeks ago in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. In this Webinar, Mr. Campbell will discuss the short-term items employers and retirement plans need to consider, such as new plan loan and hardship withdrawal provisions, funding issues, potential DOL filing relief, employee leave requirements, and tax issues associated with these changes. He will also discuss the key provisions of the SECURE Act that will affect plan sponsors, including the new plan structure offered by Pooled Employer Plans (PEPs), the new lifetime income rules, the required eligibility of long-term part-time employees and more. Join us for an overview of the new employee benefits environment (and any additional changes that happen between now and then!)
